Yes, it is. Southeastern Idaho has had some very hot weather over the past three weeks or so. With the temperatures hovering above 95 degrees for most of that time, fishing has been tough. The fish are holding deep as they can in most reservoirs with movement into the shallows only during very early morning and late evening at best. A few fish are being caught by those anglers who brave the heat, bring lots of sunscreen, a good hat to provide some shade. Grandpa's Round Table reports are that fishing is "cool" if you know what I mean. With the dog days of August still to come, I can't wait for September and some cooler weather.
